(A Year And 1/2 Later, Nora goes back to Torvald's house)
Torvald: Nora! You've come back, how have you been? The kids have gotten so big. Did you take care of everything you needed to? Do you find yourself? Are you ready to come home? Oh Nora please tell me.
Nora: I've come to get the children. I've got my own job, and I've met someone new. I dont love you anymore, I thought I told you that over a year ago? What makes you think it would change now? I've been so happy without you. I've seen life outside this house. Just coming here brings back all these memories I wish I could just forget. The movers are here. I'm ready to be the mother our children deserve.
Torvald: You've found someone new? Nora were still married. You can't just come back and take the kids like you never left. What will people say? Nora you're being unreasonable. You haven't accomplished much in the last year have you?
Nora: Oh yes I have Torvald. Our divorce papers are in the process of being sent. I don't want or need anything from you anymore. I can take the kids, I am their mother after all. I need to make up for all the time I've lost with them. I can now be the mother they need. You can't just tell me I can't see them and get them.
Torvald: I guess you're right Nora. You have changed a lot. You're very independent since the last time we've spoke. You can have the children. I'll help arrange movers this weekend and they can move in with you. However you're not just taking them, I expect to see and spend time with them every other weekend.
Nora: Of course I've changed Torvald. It would have been a waste of time to be away if I wasn't going to make drastic changes in my life. There's no need to help me arrange movers i have that taken care of already. Torvald, thank you for allowing me to find myself, and get my life together. I'm happy now. I'm glad you let me go, cause I really needed this. This will be a clean divorce.
Torvald: You're welcome Nora. I'll get the kids and you guys can be on your way. And we'll start packing their things so they can go move in with you.
(The children come and leave with Nora. Torvald starts packing their things with the maid)

So in act 2, Nora and Dr.Rank are flirting. I'm not surprised. From the beginning of the play everyone thought she was a "harlot" She was talking to him about her silk stockings. Apparently back then it was a big deal to have them. After all this flirting Dr.Rank tells her, he loves her. He also tells her that she lead him on. This isn't surprising. I mean the guy goes over their house everyday, no one would go over their "friends" house everyday if they didn't have a legit reason.
Also in Act 2 Krogstad gives Torvald a letter about everything Nora has done. This means he tells him about her borrowing money, and forging the signature. Nora couldn't convince Torvald to keep Krogstad so this was what Krogstad did to her. However Nora tried her best to keep it from Torvald as long as possible. So she distracted him with the tarantella to make sure he didn't go to the mailbox. It worked, till they got home from their dance and he opened the letter.

I think I'm really starting to like this story. I love how its not starting out slow like all the other plays we've read this year. The whole plot of the story is just starting to unravel.I can't think of anyone who represents any characters in my life or any other plays we've read this year. I find Nora to be hilarious. She's very conceited. Some of the things she says just make me laugh. While talking to Ms.Linde she couldn't help talking about herself. Let's just say shes truly unique. If she talks about herself the way she does she must be ravishing. I'm still trying to figure out her husband Torvald. I guess I will eventually figure out why he talks to Nora like a child. I would not be pleased if my husband/boyfriend ever talked to me that way. I think i'd have to hit him, ha. I really wanna know what exactly his illness was that made him bedridden. I love how Nora took it upon herself to help him get better, even if she did go behind his back her reasoning was on point! I'm not liking this Krogstad guy. The way he's using Nora's forging against her to save his job is terrible. He's being unreasonable. He shouldn't blackmail Nora, when he knows all the things that could possibly happen to her and her family if he ever told Torvald. I'm real curious to see how Nora would get herself out of this one. As for Dr.Rank it seems like him and Nora are a bit too friendly to each other. It's kinda suspicious. I mean from the first page of the play everyone thought Nora was "friendly" (in nicer terms?). And Ms.Linde is asking if Dr.Rank had anything to do with giving her money, since he goes there everyday and they are "very" good friends.
I'm very curious to see where this will go. Will Nora get caught cause she can't convince Torvald to keep Krogstad? And is there anything going on with Nora and Dr.Rank? I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Oh and they must be well off if they have a maid, just saying. haha.
P.S. I was gonna do a video, but i changed my mind, lol. maybe next time. when I figure it out on my own.

Hi, welcome to my blog. Melissa here(: Well this is my first post on "blogger". It reminds me a bit of my own personal blog I have on Tumblr. In English this year I enjoyed A Raisin in The Sun the most. I wasn't too fond of Lord of the Flies. I also liked reading Julius Caesar. Now onto my homework.
Henrik Ibsen did not have an easy life. His father, a businessman went bankrupt when he was at the age of eight. He left his house at 15 and was an assistant to a pharmacist. His life was not easy. Many of his plays were unsuccessful. He also was in a lot of debt. He did a lot of moving and traveling. He first lived in Norway then left to Italy and Germany for 27 years. He went through a lot of changes such as his appearance, habits, and handwriting. Before he returned home to Norway he became the worlds most famous dramatist.
I think a "A Doll's House" has something to do with women. Along with the story involoving women I believe there will be a lot of drama. Probably some cheating, lying, and backstabbing. I think maybe they live in a house with a bunch of different people. However I don't think this story has anything to do with "dolls". Maybe its a house filled with just women. I guess I'll have to wait and see tomorrow.
