5/15/11

Hi, welcome to my blog. Melissa here(: Well this is my first post on "blogger". It reminds me a bit of my own personal blog I have on Tumblr. In English this year I enjoyed A Raisin in The Sun the most. I wasn't too fond of Lord of the Flies. I also liked reading Julius Caesar. Now onto my homework.

Henrik Ibsen did not have an easy life. His father, a businessman went bankrupt when he was at the age of eight. He left his house at 15 and was an assistant to a pharmacist. His life was not easy. Many of his plays were unsuccessful. He also was in a lot of debt. He did a lot of moving and traveling. He first lived in Norway then left to Italy and Germany for 27 years. He went through a lot of changes such as his appearance, habits, and handwriting. Before he returned home to Norway he became the worlds most famous dramatist.

I think a "A Doll's House" has something to do with women. Along with the story involoving women I believe there will be a lot of drama. Probably some cheating, lying, and backstabbing. I think maybe they live in a house with a bunch of different people. However I don't think this story has anything to do with "dolls". Maybe its a house filled with just women. I guess I'll have to wait and see tomorrow.
